Welcome Your Child To the Church Through Baptism

Participate in the seven sacraments of the Catholic church at Santo Christo Parish in Fall River, Massachusetts. We encourage our community to participate in leading our preparation programs and sharing their own stories and faith with younger members in our parish. In addition to these classes, we have other activities and groups to serve our members.

Baptismal Preparation/Prepara o Baptismal

Dedicate your child to the church in the Sacrament of Baptism. Our preparation team leads a program for parents and godparents to develop a deeper understanding of the commitment they are making to the church. Classes are held throughout the year in English and Portuguese on the last Sunday of the month. Call the parish office for information and scheduling.

First Communion

After completing a two-year program, you receive the Eucharist for the first time. This preparation is for first and second graders and ends with the Sacrament Of Holy Communion at the conclusion of second grade.

At the end of eighth grade, the participants receive the sacrament after completing bi-weekly liturgies with First Communion prayer partners, six hours of community service, and a confirmation retreat.

Marriage Preparation/Programa de Prepara o Para o Matrimonio

If you are engaged or considering marriage, prepare for your union with our program sponsored by the Dioceses Of Fall River Office Of Faith Formation. The program, offered in English and Portuguese, also helps married people strengthen their commitment to each other.
